Death trap
By Ira Levin
My first EVER theoretical set design. This play had so many twists and turns I just loved it. It’s sort of dark but sort of humorous. I went with a real “Knives out” vibe with the decor. I wanted a set the actors could really act AROUND, you know? Something with depth. It was hard because Ira actually had specific designs IN the script that I had to fight myself not to copy. The goal was to tap into my own creativity and learn.
